Safeguarding

How robot deployments are considered in settings with vulnerable people.

Last reviewed: 30 July 2026

Our approach

In settings such as care homes or healthcare sites, we discuss safeguarding considerations with the customer during the site survey — for example, how a robot's presence, alerts and stopping behaviour interact with residents or patients.

Field engineers who visit customer sites are DBS checked (see the DBS-checked personnel page for detail).

Who is responsible for what

Keenon designs the robot's obstacle-detection and stop behaviour.

Fresh Mango Robotics configures routes and provides DBS-checked engineers for on-site work.

The customer retains responsibility for their own safeguarding policy and for supervising vulnerable people on their premises.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, field engineers who attend customer sites are DBS checked.

This page is maintained by Fresh Mango Robotics and describes our own practices. It is not an independent certification.
