What is the KEENON XMAN-R1?
The XMAN-R1 is KEENON's humanoid service robot: a commercial machine designed to work in front of people rather than behind the scenes. Where a delivery robot moves trays and a cleaning robot covers floors, the XMAN-R1 is built around interaction — welcoming, informing, guiding and handing over.
It stands at roughly human height on a wheeled base, which is a deliberate commercial choice: human scale makes face-to-face conversation feel natural, while wheels give the smooth, stable, quiet movement that a hotel lobby or shop floor needs. Articulated dual arms let it gesture, present and carry light items as part of an interaction rather than as a separate errand.
Behind the behaviour sits KEENON's KOM2.0 vision-language-action model, trained on service-industry data rather than laboratory tasks. That is the practical difference from earlier interaction robots: instead of navigating a scripted menu, a visitor asks for something in plain speech and the robot works out the sequence of actions needed to deal with it. It is AI automation applied to a real service floor, not a laboratory demo.
KEENON introduced the XMAN-R1 in March 2025 and it entered commercial hotel service from late 2025, working alongside the same specialist KEENON robots UK operators already run — food-running DINERBOTs, enclosed BUTLERBOT room-service delivery, KEENON S100 heavy transport and KLEENBOT floor cleaning. That general-purpose plus special-purpose pairing is how humanoids are being deployed commercially, and it is how we plan UK installations.
