What is UKCA Marking (UKCA)?
UKCA marking is the conformity mark showing that a product meets UK safety, health and environmental regulations for sale in Great Britain.

UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking replaced CE marking as the standard product safety mark for goods sold in Great Britain following changes to UK regulation. It confirms that a product — including commercial robots — has been assessed against applicable UK safety, electromagnetic compatibility and machinery regulations before being placed on the market.
For buyers, the presence of valid UKCA (or, where still accepted, CE) marking is a baseline compliance check, not a nice-to-have. It should sit alongside a technical file, declaration of conformity, and user instructions that a supplier should be able to produce on request.
Northern Ireland has separate arrangements, and CE marking continues to be accepted in Great Britain in many cases under current transitional rules, so buyers should confirm current requirements with a supplier rather than assuming either marking alone is sufficient.
